What should my child bring to camp? 

Your child should have sunscreen applied at home and brought to camp, water bottle, towel, bathing suit, snack, sneakers. Atlantis Prep campers should bring a change of clothes and diapers/wipes if needed.

Should I pack a lunch?

Lunch can be brought from home or purchased for $5.00 a day. The menu varies each day. All camp lunches will be refrigerated. Atlantis prep campers are encouraged to pack a cold pack in their lunch due to limited refrigerator space.

Should I pack a snack?

Yes. There will be no snack provided throughout the day or after camp.

What if I can not pick up my child by 3:00pm?

If you know you will be running late, you need to call our field house to let us know to bring the child to our After Care Program. Any child not picked up by 3:15 will be brought over After Care. The program is available until 6pm. The charge is $10/hour to be paid at the time of pick up or at the end of the week.

Will my child be swimming during a Sports Camp?

If the camp runs a full day, the camper will swim from 12-12:30 with the exception of the Bobby Hurley Basketball Camp. If your child is in a half day program that runs until 12:30, they will swim. Any Sports Camp that ends at 12:00 will not swim.

What if I need to bring my child before the camp day starts?

We offer Before Care that runs from 7-9am then we bring your child to their specific camp program. If you need care after the camp day, we have After Care that runs from 3-6pm.

What should my child bring for Swim Academy?

Your child should bring 2 towels, goggles and a snack. Water shoes or sneakers are required- no flip flops. There is no lunch for swim campers unless they are staying for PM Camp.

What are the ages for camp?

Our Atlantis Prep Camp runs from ages 2 ½ -Kindergarden. Our Senior Day Camp is from 1st through 8th grade. Our CIT Program is for 7th,8th & 9th grades.

How are the campers grouped?

All Day Campers are grouped by the grade they are entering in the fall and gender.  Sports campers, Tennis campers and Swim campers are grouped by age and ability.

What are the days available for camp?

Our Senior Camp offers 2,(Tues/Thurs) 3,(Mon, Wed, Fri)or 5 (Mon-Fri) full days (9am-3pm) or 5 half days in the morning (9am-12pm). If you are enrolled in a half day morning camp such as Aquatics Academy or Tennis, and you need the full day, we do offer a PM option (12pm-3pm). This is only available to campers already enrolled in one of our am camps. Our Atlantis Prep Camp offers the same days with the addition of 4 full days as well as 2 or 3 half days. These half days are only available as part of a 5 week session.

How will I know where to drop my child off?

You have 2 options for drop off- you can park and walk your child to the designated camp or you can take advantage of our Quick Drop area where you pull up and we take your child from your car to their camp. All Sports Camps will check in inside the Field House, Day Camp will meet on the side of the Field House, Tennis meets at the north courts, Aquatics meets by the pool and Atlantis Prep meets at the school.

How many counselors are there per group?

There are always 2-3 counselors per group, depending on the number of campers. All counselors are CPR and First Aid certified. Atlantis Prep camp group leaders are certified teachers.

What is your refund policy?

Full refunds will be given up until May 15, 2010. After that, you will be given camp credit that can be used for another camp, any Junior Program and will expire 12/31/10. If a child is injured and can not participate, we will need a doctor’s note and you will be given a refund.

What if my child is sick or away and can not attend?

We do not do make up days for camp. If your child is sick or chooses not to come, there will be no refund or credit given.

What if my child needs medication during the camp day?

We have a camp nurse on staff for any child that is sick, gets hurt or needs medication. Any medication needs to be brought in the original bottle with the prescription label attached.

What if I want to make any changes to my child’s camp day?

We allow 3 changes per camper. You may switch to a different camp if there is availability. After 3 changes, you will be charged a $15 change fee.
